Palladian has been employed to reconfigure and refurbish a former Victorian tile factory in the Kensington conservation area, which had historically been sub-divided and used as a domestic property.
Arranged over 3 floors on a compact site the project includes a complete reconfiguration of the internal layout creating an open plan ground floor kitchen, dining, living area whilst also maximising floor to ceiling heights.
The design focus is on natural and tactile materials with a historical finish, to reflect the age and history of the property. The addition of a new roof, exposed steel beams, a first floor terrace and rolled steel windows enhances the unique qualities of the property.
